Lettering Arts

Our calligraphy guild just completed our year long study course with Reggie Ezell http://www.reggieezell.com/. It was an incredible experience for me. He is more than an instructor, he is food for the soul.

One of our accomplishments as a result of this course will be participating in an exhibit at Philbrook Museum in Tulsa http://www.philbrook.org/ . Our opening reception is scheduled for April 10th, 5-7pm. The lettering artwork will be on display for the month of April in the Upper Education Center Gallery. http://www.orgsites.com/ok/calligraphytulsa/index.html

Sharing Ideas

No one would have been able to convince me that having a Blog would be fun. No one needed to as I found out completely on my own how terrific this is. I am going to be adding photos of my artwork and my life....coming soon!

I have to encourage those who are thinking about it to purchase "Artful Blogging" from Somerset Studio. I checked out most of the sites and all I can say is "WOW".

I love Denise's site: http://firstbornstudio.blogspot.com/ I am thrilled beyond words that I will be receiving in the next day or so a piece of her artwork that I purchased! ! ! OMG, I love her work!

P.S. Denise - if you happen to read this: I think the Patron Saint of Kick-Ass for me would be John Wayne.

Rock Paper Scissors

I want the world to know that Rock Paper Scissors store located in St. Charles, Missouri really ROCKS! If you are in the St. Charles area, this is a destination that is worth the effort. They are located in a charming old house on Main Street in the historical district. They have the best selection of papers, ribbons, and wonderful embellishments that you can not find anywhere else. And the best part of shopping at Rock Paper Scissors is that they really appreciate your business. How refreshing is that! ! !

Wedding Wishes

I just returned from a great wedding in Lexington, Kentucky. Oh my gosh, the state of Kentucky is absolutely beautiful! The wedding was a beautiful one and everyone had a great time. My sister-in-law, Pat, was the mother of the groom. She looked stunning. She made her outfit which looked like it could have been published in Belle Armoire! I wish Shawn and Amanda the many blessings of a happy and loving marriage!

Hello World

I have been resisting joining the blog craze for two reasons: I am computer illiterate and who is going to want to read my online journal?! But I am really enjoying the blogs of others so I have decided to just jump in.
