Adorable Roo

Roo is her name and she belongs to Kimberly. She absolutely loves the smell of dirty laundry! Of course she just had to pop into the basket as I was unloading the clothes for washing at Kimberly's apartment.

My two adorable cats have been permanently adopted by my sister Annie. They are now Iowans and have experienced "hot lunch" as my sister describes their hunting adventures. They have adjusted well to farm life and that's a good thing.

Penelope

Penelope's name was inspired by the character in Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher, my favorite author. When I would sit and read in the living room, Penelope would rest on the parlor table next to the couch and watch me read and turn the pages of a book or magazine.

Hopefully SOON she will be moving to Minneapolis with the most important man in my life, Bill!

A Dose of Cuteness!

Happy Birthday to you! It is hard to believe how fast time flies...my babies are already six years old!
This is Penelope. She was named after a character in my favorite book, Shell Seekers.
This is Monk named after one of my favorite television shows.

We have always had dogs.....Irish Setters. Dossie was our last dog of sixteen years. I didn't think I was ready for another dog....so I held off. Then my daughter's cat had a litter and I adopted two of the kittens.

What the big surprise for me is that I have never been a "cat" person before....I thought I didn't like cats, let alone love them. However, Monk and Penelope are adorable pets and I am crazy in love with them! !

Monk and Penelope

Tulsa had a terrible rain storm yesterday that uprooted trees, broke tree limbs, and down power lines. I live in mid-town and this is the second hardest hit storm we've had recently. Our beloved trees have taken quite a beating ! ! !

I sure did not want to get up this morning to go to work. I was so tired....but when I arrived at our office, we discovered we're without power. So yeah.....back at home.

When I walked through the door, I found my two very adorable pets sleeping away.....
They were so stressed with the storm yesterday, too. Now they are snoring away without a care. Monk has a small black mark on his nose and is just a bit larger than Penelope in size. They are litter mates and most of the time....best friends.
